6. Consent and Other Permitted Processing
PressMate processes personal data based on consent and other grounds permitted under applicable Indian law. Where consent is required, it should relate to a specified purpose and identify information needed for that purpose. Optional device permissions are requested through the relevant device flow rather than bundled with general account acceptance.
You may withdraw consent where required and available under applicable law. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully undertaken and may prevent features that require the relevant data from working. For example, withdrawing location permission may limit location-based service coordination.
7. Device Permissions
Camera access is requested when you choose to photograph a machine, spare part, profile image or information needed for an enquiry. Photo and file access is requested when you choose to upload images, videos or documents.
Location is requested only for relevant location-based features and service coordination. Notification permission may be used for messages, engineer assignments, service updates, quotations, order updates, tender alerts, events and important PressMate notices.
You can generally change these permissions in your device settings. PressMate does not intentionally request a device permission until it is relevant to the feature you use.
9. Data Storage and International Processing
PressMate uses third-party cloud infrastructure. A technology provider may process or store information outside your state and potentially outside India. Any transfer or processing of personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable Indian law and any restrictions prescribed by the Government of India.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain an account, provide services, preserve order and invoice records, meet taxation or accounting requirements, administer warranties or replacements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security and keep legitimate business records permitted by law.
Some records may need to be retained after account deletion where required by law or reasonably necessary for accounting, a transaction, warranty, complaint, dispute, fraud prevention or security.
11. Data Security
PressMate uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information, which may include authentication, access controls, Firebase security rules, HTTPS or encrypted transport, restricted administrative access and controlled storage access.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Personal Data Breaches
If a personal-data breach occurs, PressMate will take reasonable steps to contain, investigate and address it, and will notify affected individuals and/or relevant authorities where required under applicable law.
13. User Rights
Subject to applicable law and the extent such rights are available, users may have rights relating to their personal data, including obtaining information about processing, correcting inaccurate information, completing or updating information, requesting erasure where applicable, withdrawing consent where applicable, grievance redressal and nomination rights where available under applicable law.
A request may be sent to support@pressmate.tech. Erasure may be limited where information must lawfully be retained.
14. Account Deletion
A signed-in user can request deletion by opening Account and choosing Delete account from the profile controls. You may also contact support@pressmate.tech for privacy assistance.
When an account is deleted, unnecessary profile information is deleted or anonymized where reasonably possible. Transaction, accounting, complaint, dispute, fraud-prevention or security records may be retained where legally required or otherwise permitted by law.
15. Communications and Notifications
Service communications, including booking, quotation, order-status, security and account notices, may be necessary to provide PressMate services.
If optional marketing or promotional communications are sent, users will have a reasonable way to opt out where required. Optional marketing consent is not treated as part of unrelated service consent.
17. Third-Party Links and Content
PressMate may link to tender portals, news publications, exhibition or event websites and other external resources. PressMate does not control their privacy practices; review the relevant third-party privacy policy before using an external site.
18. Manuals and Technical Content
